Some may ask why post a photography of a president candidate with a photography of painting. I don't know how the artist herself will vote, my reason to post these together is different: when i look at this painting i think of diversity and texture. When i look at Pekka Haavisto i see the same things.

It is time to elect ourselves a president with experience, a man who represents the new and open Finland. My intention has been to post only material of my own in this blog but I guess you have to do exceptions once in a while. Enjoy a nice little video by the Green Party and vote for number two.

Soft, silky and smooth

I haven't been out with the camera so much these past days so i dug up a few older pictures. At times, just like today when the weather is just awful, soft tones and colours warm up the whole atmosphere around you. As if the pictures were candles.

My way to deal with the cold, wind and rain is to escape to Stockholm for a day. Looking forwards to nature photography: this species "fennicus aquarius" or "Boat Finns" are quite exiting!

No huh huh. Sydän pomppasi metrin ylöspäin, kun kuulin. Aivan kuin lapsoneni, tämä blogi siis, olisi oppinut ottamaan askelia. Kävelemään. Huh huh.

Pitää myöntää, että tuli yllätyksenä. Blogirojekti on ollut hyvin pieni ja nöyrä, vaikkakin osittain kunnianhimoinen. Pitkään "to do" listalla pyörinyt ulkoasun uudistaminen motivoi kyllä rutkasti enemmän tämän tunustuksen jälkeen.

Oh dear. It felt as if my hart had skipped a beat. As if my baby, this blog I mean, had taken its first steps. Learned to walk. Oh dear.

I must admit, it came as a suprise. This has been a humble experiment, a little ambitious, but still. Making a new look for the blog has been on my "to do" list for a month now, I think there's more motivation for completing that job now. So stay tune!
